ΚΕΡΑΣΙΑΚΑΙΣΚΥΛΟΙ

Info

A concept poster and promotional visuals designed for ΚΕΡΑΣΙΑΚΑΙΣΚΥΛΟΙ, an upcoming film by director Efthymis Filippou, created during a workshop with designer Vasilis Marmatakis. The visuals were generated using custom code in Processing, embracing computational design to create an organic and fluid aesthetic that mirrors the film’s surreal atmosphere.

By integrating noise functions and random parameters, the code generates smooth, evolving lines that emerge from a fixed starting point and then expand arbitrarily across the canvas. This controlled randomness ensures that each line carries its own character, contributing to an intricate visual texture that feels both chaotic and harmonious. The design reflects a key moment in the film's narrative—a world-altering explosion that triggers an irreversible transformation. The intertwining lines symbolize the delicate balance between destruction and rebirth, capturing the pivotal shift from an old reality to an unknown new state.
Printed on Curious Metallic Ice Silver paper, the poster shimmers with vivid colors and an iridescent finish, reinforcing the dreamlike essence of Filippou’s storytelling. The luminous quality of the paper enhances the depth of the visuals, adding a layer of movement and perception that aligns with the film’s evocative and conceptual nature.

By combining algorithmic design with traditional print techniques, this poster embodies a collision of structured generative systems and raw cinematic emotion, offering a glimpse into a thought-provoking and surreal journey.
